100 was the old Mr Gasket number. Might be able to find a cross reference.

Fel Pro says their number 1256 is a mr gasket 100 crossover. 100 still available from Holley/ MrGasket

1245 felpro is the thicker gasket, with the angle milling of the heads and intake they raise the intake up for a better shot at the intake valve ?? Had to do some trimming on my SS 520s. Tom

The 100s were about a perfect fit on the stock 520s on my old Jr Stockers. I would expect some trimming on SS heads.

The 100s will work. We had Cometic make some, small port thick ones for us a long time ago and they were perfect. I doubt if they have a part number for them. Might be able to look them up under our name. We haven’t run 283s in awhile, but I know Cometic will also make what you need if you send them the sizes or a trace of the intake

Fel Pro makes a 'trim to fit' intake gasket for SBCs:

#1244 are .060" thick, fits ports from 1.25" x 1.90" to 1.40 x 2.30''
#1245 are .120" thick (same ports sizes as above)

So I ordered some Fel pro 1245 because I liked the idea of them being thicker. That works ok,but the port mismatch is bad.The 55 intake is real small.Measures 1.55x.970.The head is 1.80 x1.20, and the 1245 gasket is 1.930 x1.24.Should I find some gaskets that are closer to the head size?
