Default Ever changing Indy weather forecast....

The forecast for this weekend Indy points meet changes daily. I have been following the weather channel for the last few days and one thing is for sure...they have no idea what is going to happen.

MJ - you are correct - the Thursday thru Saturday forecast have been all over - but it's looking better. Sunday still has a high probability of rain. I can see some schedule adjustments coming if rain remains likely for Sunday.

Went from sunny and 81 to 64 and HAIL in a couple of hours today....like a box of chocolates! Bring supplies for bench racing just in case! Safe travels to whomever decides to make the trip.

Remember 2013?

Long-range forecasts are garbage. It's "weather entertainment"... something to talk about just for the sake of having something to talk about. Tuesday night is the *earliest* they can get reasonably close on a weekend forecast. It is scientifically impossible to make an accurate long-range forecast, due to chaos theory. There are an infinite number of variables involved, and tiniest change in the initial constraints multiplies exponentially over time. Meteorologists guess right now and then, so people still pay attention to them. LOL

That being said, we've all seen them get it wrong in real time, too, which is pretty impressive!

Best of luck to everyone!

I was looking forward to attending this race. However work changed that yesterday morning when I was told that they can't cover my route days. With sales being the way they are I have to work even though I "was" given the vacation time. So that being said, because I can no longer make it the weather will be perfect for all those in attendance.....you are welcome. LOL

One other thing to be concerned about if traveling to Indy. I-65 North is a mess. Construction for at least 50 miles of the travel from Louisville to Indy and in some spots speed limit drops to 45 mph.
