1969,

Linda Vaughn explaining the mechanics of a 440 6-Barrel, and the
advantages of air-flow and fuel mixture of a 3-carburetor set-up, as opposed to one large carburetor.
Buster Crouch, Ronnie Sox and Buddy Martin, are in-tune with this
important lesson.

Notice the '2' BO29 Super/Stock Hemi Barracuda's, watching from the
background.

I did some digging and it seems that this B029 Hemi Barracuda was listed as the Old Trapper on the Barrett Jackson's auction website, it also listed a full VIN # and description of the car...I knew that they ran a L023 Hemi Dart called the Old Trapper, but I wonder who's B029 this was originally...anyone, Mark J.

This is a very famous factory B029 Super Stocker raced from 1968 up until a few years ago out of the Northwest. It was known as Old Trapper. All documents and magazines go with the car. Galen Govier certified with papers. Ray Barton engine.

As far as I know, there was no "Old Trapper" 68 Hemi Barracuda - a 70 SS/DA Barracuda yes, a 68 Hemi Dart, 67 Hemi Belvedere - no 68 Barracuda though.
This is the Southland Flyer that the Teuton's raced for many years. They bought the car from Ed Miller - not his original car though.

Mark's right there was no Old Trapper BO29 car . They campaigned the 67 X, Didluck's LO23, 2 70 Hemi Cudas. all accounted for. The only BO29 raced out of western canada , in particular Alberta-home of Rhonagon's Old Trappers, was Renald Griess's BO29 late 1990s/early 2000s before he sold it. Allyn Lee and his brother did have one of the Old Trapper 70 Cudas, ran it for years after they acquired it from Rhonagon.

I talked to owner ( He is in next town) prior to Barrett and asked if if the car used to be an Old Trapper car. I was driving to Walmart and saw to car being
loaded and stopped. He seemed to be under impression that it was a former Old Trapper car. He has a BO Dart in his shop among other cars that he allowed me to see.

GTX John, that BO29 may very well have been campaigned under an Old Trapper name but by a different owner. I'm trying to say that a BO29 Barracuda was never campaigned by Jim Rhonagin and his drivers/team mates Alberta Branan or Dick Panter, Alberta Canada who raced under the Old Trapper name back in the late 60s/early 70s . A few identical car names have been used by more than 1 owner over the years so it's possible..

If I understand your 12/11 post you are looking for LO23 Darts sold in Mich. to Mich. residents. How about the John Rivers of Detroit. He bought one from Van Dyke Dodge on 7/25/68 for pickup at the Hurst facility. I have a copy of the RETAIL BUYERS ORDER.
It was an automatic.

Stewart,

Thanks for the information.
If John Rivers got his LO23 Hemi Dart from Van Dyke in late-July 1968,
then he should have one of the last cars, VIN# LO23M8B391***.

Still find it baffling on just how few LO23 Hemi Darts were Michigan-based.

Hard to imagine;
* Hodges Dodge
* Spartan Dodge
* Bill Vreeland Sales
* Tri-City Dodge
* Crestwood Dodge
* Schultz Motors

Missing out in not getting one.
