Default Opening weekend at the new Flying H Dragstrip

Anyone going to the grand opening of the new Flying H Dragstrip in Odessa, MO this weekend. Test and Tune slicks only on Saturday, and 1/8 mile no prep race Sunday. Can't wait to check this new facility out. Drove through the Pits last week it is a nice track.

Randy, so far I have heard good things about the different phases of construction. It's nice that it is being raced on quite a bit before the LODRS
double in June. Looking forward to that race at a nice new facility.

Hey Randy, what will the pit situation be like for the Divisional? Is there enough asphalt pit area for everyone, or will we be on gravel?

We hope to go to Flying H, having moved from SE Texas to Mid Mo, this track is relatively close, lots of work being done at the new house, need to work on the race car and the motorhome and the trailer.

Paul,

They have paved about half the Pit area, and plan on doing the rest this summer, right now not enough pavement for a points race. My guess they will have it done before the divisional. I will ask the question this weekend.

I stopped there this past sunday again and checked it out . Very nice facility . Walked up to the starting line & checked it out also. They had been dragging & spraying the track . Looked pretty good but there wasn't much rubber down yet understandably . It needs a lot of cars on it and i believe it will be good . First class facility ! IMO.
