Default Minimum weight in NHRA SS/GT

This is a dream build as I am relegated to spectator for a long while. I know the rulebook makes mention of 2,650 as the minimum weight is that for FWD conversions only or is that for factory RWD cars? I would like to get a try and get a low HP 302 combo and put it in a flyweight car. I was thinking a 82 mustang 302 in a 61 Falcon. Is that legal given a shipping weight of 2,250 and a GT factored 302 at 157 gives you a race weight of 2,200 plus the 170 for the driver. Would this be a legal combination, I understand that getting a 61 Falcon to 2,200lbs would be impossible but I am just curious how flyweight a GT car can be. Thank

RWD cars must have originally been equipped with V-6 or V-8 engines.

Quotes from the rule book. Correct me if I'm wrong.

“Shipping weight will be determined by using the power to weight factor of the vehicle with the heaviest gasoline engine and appropriate transmission, and multiplying the factor times the horsepower or performance rating.”

Heaviest 61 Falcon

factor - 25.7 HP - 101
25.7 X 101 = 2595.7 lbs. for shipping weight.

“The proper class weight will then be determined by dividing this figure by the horsepower or performance rating of the engine used”

82 Mustang 302/132 HP

2596/132 = 19.7 as a classification factor.

Your car would be GT/M (14 or more) and not viable.
