VHS to DVD
I have a bunch of OLD VHS tapes I would like to convert to DVD. Some were purchased and I assume are copy written. Any Help.

Re: VHS to DVD
If there's a local establishment that does the conversions, you can contact them and see what their policy is, or take the tapes in there of course. If you have the capability to do it yourself or someone you know, I can't see a problem unless you plan on selling them on a mass basis. The quality of the events filmed will suffer somewhat the farther you get away from the original source, say if the VHS tapes were made off of say 8 mm or 16 mm film. I've had some 8mm converted to VHS years ago, and then sometime later to DVD and it almost wasn't worth watching. Good luck with this, at least you're trying to preserve some history and there's nothing wrong with that.
