Last night, at a remote Ca. hot spring, I thought I heard some keybord music from the parking lot. It turned out there was some young people staying in a converted camper van. One of them had his electric keyboard out and was entertaining his friends while trying to write a rock song with piano and/or organ. Of course I had to go over there and offer my opinion. LOL
I asked the four (three guys/ one gal) if they had ever heard of Procol Harum or A Whiter Shade of Pale ? They all answered with a blank stare and a no.
I suggested that they research them a bit and start from there. ;-)

Here's Gary Brooker, sounding a soulful as ever, and Matthew Fisher, original keyboardist and a Hammond master }

There are two types of men, those that love Bonnie Raitt and those that never heard of her. Willie Nelson
