Re: What would it take?
Jamie / HR9121,
More like $ 13-15K if you have cores ? That's not a cheap combo to build. Good Luck & take your Time , you can still have Fun & Win going 5-6 under !!!

Re: What would it take?
This is one of my favorite web sites. Ive killed hours playing on it. Everything is pretty much spot on. Except the ".Compute ideal MPH and times at 60', 330', 660' and 1000'. They wont match your cars times for some reason. But they are proportionally correct.
The "ET - MPH - HP Calculators" in the first column. And the 'Gears - Tire - RPM Calculators' at the top of the second column are my favorites. Hope this helps. Steve-o- http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm

Re: What would it take?
Basing it off my car (chevelle with 255/280 in h)
Went 11.66 at 3405, with 384 flywheel hp. -140 lbs for to go to safe g weight = an approximate 11.52 so thats about .80 required to go 10.70's at roughly 10hp per tenth like a slide rule calculator, you'd need 450-460hp. Correct me if i'm wrong. And yes my car is a slug, but we're working at it! lol

Re: What would it take?
It's more than just horsepower. Without the right headers, converter, ignition, and carb. Also the car has to leave the starting line hard. Two cars with the same horsepower, will run different times. It's the whole combo and how good one is at making it run. But like has been said on here, bring your wallet.

Re: What would it take?
Cooter, looking at Div 2 qualifying history on DRC, You can go to J and be clear and free and I may end up in G. Most of the cars I am avoiding stay in H . There was average around 5 I cars most being 80 under camaros, adkinson is in I and slowest I car was 79 under at most races.
