Default 1970 454 Pistons?

Whats the accepted piston for the 70 454 oval port engines? It lists it as a .094" dome same as a 71 454/425HP in the blueprints, but the accepted list dosen't show 1970 454 345-390HP. Would it just be the same pistons as the 71 425HP?

I would say no because of the 1cc difference in the dome volume and the 1 thou difference in height. (pretty stupid. I know) You could check with tech. If there is no approved piston the approval process is a little cumbersome to navigate but can be done. If the 71 LS-6 piston is OK, I have a set with very little time on them (mostly dyno) Save $500. Call me if you want them. 253 381 2066 (cell) Tom Turner
