Default 1989 fox n/sa update

well we finally had some decent weather car was running good to start with .congrats to neal (driver -owner)for consistant rt's .
we tested our newer setup with new injectors /maf and put the 1/2 inch spacer back in it .also added an oil seperator .
out of the trailer the car ran 13.8 hmmmm room to improve
unusuallly warm oct night 70S and humid .
another pass it ran 13.7 both at 92 mph
now 3rd run was a wash because with heated tires and staged only to see the starter was taking his sweet a## time teaching someone how to launch and stage oh well thats testing on a weekday !
after he prepared to launch again car stumbled then spun and posted a miserable 14.8 at 90 mph
now thw 4th pass with 1 degree more timing 13.3 at 98 mph then 5th pass with 1 more degree adv 13.1 at 98 mph then 6th pass with another degree also 18 psi tire press and rev limit set to 6400 rpm
we ran a 12.99 at 102 mph
track breaks for supper we return to back that 12.9 run up with 1 more degree timing at 12.5 at 102 mph all this done with a stock a9p computer too packed up and went home smiling
was a good night thought i would let everyone know our progress in another week it all gets put away and all we will have then is a winter of bench racing in the garage and a long list of wants for the car for next year thanks to Neal L for a great summer !!!!!!
and as for next year we will be back and hopefully a tad faster then were coming to a track near you lol .

Funny...I just ran across a '90 convertible on Craigslist. Factored at 220hp (O/SA), would this be a viable combo? I bought a new GT in 1990 and remember it still being the best street car I ever owned...and I'm a Chevy guy. I'm guessing, but this should be able to claim as an '89, right?

we ran probably for the last time this year last night.
the temps were unseasonably warm then turning cooler as the night went on . previously on wed we ran a best of 12.95 @ 102mph . tonight with no mods right out of the trailer he clicked of a 12.9.then a 12.88 run ---all in all we were all excited as to what we started with and what weve accomplished .then as the night went on we finished with 6 runs and our last was 12.82 @ 103 mph .great ending for us also gives a whole winter to make it even better .
a big thanks goes out to all of the people on this site for all your help and input . ive learned alot from all of you .also a HUGE thanks to our team owner / driver Neal L. and my son alex and all the friends that helped us along the way including little Emily . now the long N.E. winter ....... ugg. keep posting everyone i enjoy reading it all see ya soon Rick R..
