Default Modified bell housing for stock

I came across an A&A 727 tranny. It is completely lightened and has the bell housing cut off and a scatter shield bolted in its place. Looked a the rules and didn't mention any thing like that. It is definitely safer. Is it legal for stock?

Rules still state "Only NHRA Approved Adapter" are legal. I believe any
replacement bell would be considered an adapter.

I do not think there are ANY approved for mopars.......a 727 to 904 Big Block is available but not approved but sure would be nice (use it on my Bracket cars).
