Cool M2000 helmets R I P

I was informed last Saturday that my perfect condition M2000 helmet will expire at the end of the season. Any suggestions on what to get next?
One racer suggested this, http://www.helmetcity.com/page/HC/CTGY/FS-3-solid.

I will impart to you what my dad said when I asked him what kind of helmet I should buy after I got my first motorcycle. He said....... "how much is your head worth?". Nuff said? Jim

Simpson was selling S2005's at Indy for $100. That would get you another five years if they are still doing that at National Events. Didn't seem like that bad of a deal.

M = motorcycle helmets are allowed in some classes, but SA are much better, with multiple impact resistance, and flame retardant interior and strap. You might want to check out the Snell website.

Well, isn't that special! Looks like I'll need to replace my perfectly good and hardly used M2000 as well. Got new belts last week and my clutch can that hasn't even got a scratch in the factory paint will be rendered usless in a few months also. Of course, if my car catches fire (from another thread) I can count on track safety equipment to save my life. It's certainly comforting that someone is looking out for my well being.

The SNELL 2010 helmets have been available for a year. (2015 helmets are not available)
The M helmets have nothing to do in Auto racing, buy the SA helmets, they are built for your sport.

Some years ago I did a test with a ECE helmet with similar interior as a SNELL M helmet. It took 2 seconds for the interior to catch fire. Within 10 seconds was it totaly destroyed... In S/SS are you mandated to use driving clothes that protects from second degree burns for about 10 seconds, but still allowed to use a helmet that in 2 seconds starts to burn and melt in your face...

Spend a couple extra bucks on a SA2010 helmet, that way its legal regardless of class until 2022.
