Re: ATTN IN THE PITS - Baytown update
That's the right attitude. If ya wanna race, ya wanna race. Its gotta help when the division director, Trey Capps cares about the sportsman pits. I seen him running the water truck himself in the dusty Dallas sportsman pits last year. That didn't happen the year before when Trey wasn't there. I seen them watering the VIP parking lot while the racers ate dust all weekend a few years ago.

Re: ATTN IN THE PITS - Baytown update
Here is what our director sent out:
pit parking will begin tomorrow(wed) at 2:00 PM and continue till 6:00 PM for competitors in Comp, SS, STK, SC, SG, SST, TD and TS. Competitors in these categories will need to proceed to the Gate 3 where they will be directed to a holding lot. Access to the holding lot will open tomorrow at 1:00 PM. Upon arrival, competitors will be issued a number based on the order in which they arrived. An NHRA Pit Control official will direct competitors from the holding lot to the facility for parking. Anyone arriving past 6:00 PM will be stacked in the holding lot at Gate 3 till pit parking resumes on Thursday at 8:00 AM. |

Re: ATTN IN THE PITS - Baytown update
Stacked and waiting. From across the way we can see truckload after truckload of some sort of crushed rock material being broght in, spread and packing it. Hopefully the last minute effort will pay off for all of us. I'll try to post in a bit after i get in and see it up close.
