Default S/S Class at Atlanta

Well, this ought to be interesting. Only 48 cars in S/S at a Nat running class, which is interesting in itself. However, this being the first time I have run class under the newest enhancements, I wonder how it works.

From the entry list, it looks like I'm a single. From what I can tell, not knowing which scoop cars have automatics or sticks, the "Super-Stock Automatic" grouping of singles is going to have at least 12 and as many as 16 cars. How are these cars paired? Is it random or is there a ladder?

I'm pretty sure there will be no ladder. Who gets the single is usually decided by the racers. Whatever the majority wants I guess. I would think the highest qualified car left should get the bye.

It's sounding more and more like a New York street race than a sanctioned event! Jim

Well, that's the way class has been run since I've been racing stock. Has it ever been any different?
