Re: Monocoque Wheels
How about rear wheels cracking? I have a set of 15x13 I would like to run but am concerned about stories of these wheels cracking. Was this a problem with fronts only? They are light.
Holeshot makes a similar wheel with the holes. |

Re: Monocoque Wheels
Never cracked a rear wheel only front wheels. I'm sure it's because wheelies and turning loads make it happen.

It was the 3 piece where the rims are welded together and center are bolted. By then mr Bogart had taken over the business so I got in contact with him. I got an explanation about the crack and that was that the ¨old Monoqoque management¨ at the time was using up a stock of some older inner rim halves to save money that where not made to go together with just that outer rim for welding by ending up so the V you need to put a good weld in place couldn't be had because one rim half went straight up another inch compared to the outer rim causing uneven stress on the rims at the weld.(yes it cracked on the rim that was straight) Sent both wheels and Bogart fixed the wheels (both) with the right inner halves. I still like them and will keep on using them,
