Default Strange DA vs Viking DA for Wheelstand Bounce Control

Hey Guys,

Bracket racing now with nose heavy 72 GTO - high 9 second car.

These are the two in my budget - please let me know your opinions.

Thanks, Craig

Craig, I don't know which shock is right for you...I do know that I wouldn't be taking advise on front shocks (or anything else) from a know it all, .90 bench racer

Spend the money for a pair of Santhuff shocks . Yes they are $1400 but they will save your headers and oil pan and all the other wear and tear on the suspension.
They WILL control the bounce , Strange and Viking are not going to give you what you are looking for.

Out of the box BNCs will not be perfect. I sent mine to Competitive Suspension to be revalved.

Says the guy who registers a new user name 3 days ago just to engage me who doesn’t have the balls to do it under his original user name. LOSER

I’ve been using Afco’s BNC shocks for nearly 20 years. Their adjustment range on both compression and extension provides the ability to dial in the shocks perfectly for most applications and if they need adjustment, you don’t need anyone else but Afco to tune them.

Well I am not sure that the AFCO shocks come as non coil-overs as I am using the stock control arms and Landrum #180 5X18 springs.

Thanks

They do. The stock A arms, need a small modification for the shock body diameter and mounting. Go to www.Chevelle.com and search Afco BNC. You should find info and photos regarding the required A arm modification.

I had planned to install the BNC shocks in my nose heavy Chevelle which had 59% of its 3880 lbs. over the front tires, but I sold it months after this video
