Default SS frame question

Rule book says bottom of frame rail cannot be higher than trunk floor, I get that. But my question is can you extend the frame rail forward of the kickup that would normally be behind rear seat, to accommodate the four link?

On a GT car you can. You can build the wheel tub to the inside of the frame rail as well.

What Mike said is correct, the way to 'get around' making room for 4 link is to fit the frame rail inside the wheel tub. If you look at cars that are currently being built, even conventional SS cars (not FWD conversions), it appears that the rules are being totally ignored. There have been build pictures right here on class racer that show frame rails above the existing floor and floor pans between the frame rails being completely replaced and probably not in their orig locations. I don't know why I keep building legal chassis, apparently carpeting is a good way to cover up a lot of bogus stuff. The FWD conversion cars have gotten even crazier yet.

Well that explains why so many newer ss cars are able to achieve a pro stock like stance. Thanks it may be required on the upcoming build.
