10 degree GM wedge heads
What's the part number to the 10 degree small block head, and where do you get them?

Re: 10 degree GM wedge heads
Thanks, but not the Dart Buick. I have 3 sets of those. Some got ahold of them early when they first came out, and one well know comp SS racer told us they're hard to get but well worth it. He said they were .15 to .2 better then the 615 15 degree head.

Re: 10 degree GM wedge heads
Thanks. It may be bogus, I've checked on GM performance and none are listed, but I've seen one set on a top car, and I see CFE builds an intake for them, but they must be a figment of my imagination. I will check though.

Re: 10 degree GM wedge heads
I have always been under the impression that CFE and SLAWKO are the only two that have really rolled the 615 castings over to 10*. I'm guessing some welding has taken place to allow that to happen, but I know it was never a GM casting that started at 10*.

The 615x cylinder head as cast, can be rolled to 12 degrees. To achieve 10 degrees, a lot of more worked is required. Last edited by SSDiv6; 01-08-2017 at 11:41 PM. |

Re: 10 degree GM wedge heads
By the way, Carl Foltz, owner of CFE, some time ago, made his own version of the 615x cylinder head.
