Re: Back space
If I remember correctly, I ran a 15 x 8 with 5.5" backspace to clear a 30 x 9. I also ran a very minimal spacer (1/8") on one side to center it in the space available.

Re: Back space
On mine, a 9" wheel with centered backspacing (4.5") fits perfectly.

Do all wheel manufactures make a 9 inch wheel?

Re: Back space
8's and 10's are the most common sizes. Companies like Bogart, etc. will make any width you'd like. Weld makes their Pro Star in a 9" width with a centered b.s. that would make a nice wheel without going the 'custom' route.

Re: Back space
Champion wheel will make you what you want with backspacing in 1/4" increments. Light, look great and reasonably priced. http://www.championbillet.com/

Re: Back space
Backspacing is generally done from the edge of the wheel to the mounting surface, so it includes the thickness of the rim from the tire to the edge, usually about 1/2 inch. So, zero offset on a 9" wheel would mean a backspace of 5".
