Re: 267 Chevy
So cam it like a 305? My old 305 cam was 268/271 ( 83' 305 flat top 416 head Q-Jet ) I'm sure the latest stuff is longer but not sure how much.

Re: 267 Chevy
My friend and I have been running a 82 monte carlo with the 267 off and on for the last few years. While I can't say it was cheap compared to what it cost for a lot of stockers it wasn't bad in the age of 100.000 ones. So far we've run a best of 14.20 @91mph.It's been a lot of fun running it and it's about as low maintence as you could want for a racecar...Love that DUALJET!

Re: 267 Chevy
lift is same, can use your 305 cam just won't go anywhere quick!
what Billy said. My brother had one in malibu we went 9.50's 1/8 in U(15 years ago) pulled it put on dyno had about 185hp,got it up to 220hp broke some rockers,we pulled it to get new cam,and he never did touch it after that,I have thought, going and getting it and using it. Mike Taylor 3601 |
