Default First Issue of Hot Rod Magazine

I have a copy of what I believe is the first issue of Hot Rod Magazine. It has Eddie Hulse on the cover in a Class C roadster number 668. It says Vol 1. No. 1 * * * PRICE 25c JANUARY 1948 under the mast head.

Any idea of value??

There's one on ebay now - starting bid $1195

These were reprinted and the reprints are only worth about $10

Sarge,,, like anything else collectable,, condition is the key to everything value wise. If you're sure its the real deal,, get to a magazine/comic book store and get a preservative bag and board combo to keep it in. The bag is a special material with no oils in it to distort colors and composistion, and boarding it and bagging it will keep it in nice straight, flat condition.
In my magazine collection,, all my SS&DIs are bagged and boarded as are my 4 No.1 issues(any takers?), for protection. My 2 cents
