Re: Protest at Indy.
The protester was BHO, right Mickey? Hope Jim has a good meal with some of the proceeds.

Re: Protest at Indy.
I am glad that someone finally put up some money to protest instead of trying to start rumors. Then Jim SHOWS that he is legal! and gets some money for his troubles. Good for Jim hard work and dedication equals results! Question I thought John Armstrong built his engines? If not who?

Re: Protest at Indy.
I hope the people who protested Jim got what they wanted? I know there wallets are a little lighter. Working along side Lance and Jason Line and crew, Bruce Noland, Steve Hutar, and Jim was a pleasure.

Re: Protest at Indy.
It's good for class racing that it happened, especially at Indy, although Jim had to work hard for the 2k, he is a class act has been for a very long time.
Congratulations to Jim and the Line group. |

Re: Protest at Indy.
Rod,
Since you apparently know Jim pretty well, can you ask him why he wants to get HP added to the 396? Seems like Jim runs over 1 second under at every race for some reason. Does he want to be the only person running this combination? You seem to have the knowledge to slow you car down and speed it up when needed (based on your record run and runs at Indy) so maybe you could teach him how to do this. I don't run Stock and am just curious as to why someone continually wants to beat up a combination. Jim didn't win class at Indy and does he think if the 396 gets HP added over the winter he will have a better chance of outrunning the Corvettes and Dodges? |

Re: Protest at Indy.
I would have bet all the gravel in my driveway ( in Ky. having a gravel driveway is a real status symbol ) that Jim and the boys from Wright, Min. would go through the barn without any problems.
Every year I judge my progress on my combination against Jim. Some years I think I may have made some small gains, other years not so much. We talked at Bowling Green and he described the piece from Line as a "Real Animal", I knew my goose was cooked. Congrats on passing the protest! Those that know Jim never had any doubt of the car or anything else being wrong. |
