Default engine run on

Parked the car last fall everything is fine, Start it yesterday and now when you click it off it runs for several second before it shut off. I have checked the grounds, does not have a alternater, When I put a test light on the ing switch it stops like it should .Has a ARC switch panel. Anyone Jim Hanig

With the engine idling, you could unplug the ign. box to kill it.
Should stall immediately
That should point the way
Turn the key off before you plug it back in.
I don't believe you would damage your particular ign. system, but you will have to decide that.

Fresh fuel? Race gas dies quickly compared to street pump gas. Had this experience 25 years ago.

Does the panel need to be grounded? It is screwed to the plastic dash ?

Just had the same happen to me after doing a cam swap. I normally kill the motor by shuting off the fuel pump, never had a problem until then. Engine slowly loses rpm put stays running for 10 seconds. Fuel pressure is slowing dropping from 65psi but still registers on regulator.

What brand of fuel are you running???

Jim, did you check the relay? The contacts may have corroded over the winter and then it may have welded itself on during the first use.

Well heres one for you I got al set to redo the wireing ,start the car and guess what it quit s like it suppose to.
