Super 6 intake manifolds
I am putting together a /6 2BBL. Looking in the NHRA guide they list 3 intake manifolds for the 1980/6 2 BBL The one in question is 4095223. This # is also listed for a '78 /6. I found an alternate manifold from 1978, 4041043, which is legal for '78. Since the 223 is accepted for 78 and 80, can I also use the other 1978 alternates?

Re: Super 6 intake manifolds
I doubt it. Which year are you running? As for manifolds, there's not any real diff in performance between them. I think Philip Marvetz did a back to back test and found no diff in perf.

Re: Super 6 intake manifolds
I just looked at the guide and those were the part #'s listed. Can I just substitute any factory 2BBL intake manifold or will I get bumped on the tech side?

Re: Super 6 intake manifolds
You can only use the numbers listed in the Tech Bulletin for the year, displacement, hp engine you claim to be racing.
