Re: Best oil pan gasket
I've had the best success with the one piece molded FelPro oil pan gaskets.

Re: Best oil pan gasket
With 4'' stroke might want to look at fel-pro 1821 has steel insert and is notched to clear rods, sealer I use permatex ultra black or ultra grey and another tip is get a tube sqeezer from Valco you can lay perfect beads of silicone and use practically every drop in the tube

Re: Best oil pan gasket
I've used Fel-Pro and it leaked at the frt. of the pan with my Milodon pan. I talked to Milodon and bought their pan gasket and it also leaks at the frt. It doesn't pour but it's always got a little oil around the edge. I'd use ultra gray or black on the ends to be sure.

Re: Best oil pan gasket
Many aftermarket pans leak around front and rear gaskets,I have sealed many of them by taking dull chisel, piece of flat bar etc. and tapping with hammer to make them fit, with pan bolted on. I have worked on the front with engine running and can watch and see the results, the rear not going to attempt that, with engine running.
