Default Lazer etched piston tops

Finally got our pistons for the DP. I asked that the correct part number be stamped on the piston face. Instead I get '5.7 Hemi' with the NHRA logo lazer etched on it. ???? The job number that is stamped on the bottom reflects that the piston is correct to the card. Idea's anyone?

My JE's have the JE logo, the NHRA logo, and the part number laser etched into the tops. All of them. It stays pretty well, too. There's nothing stamped on them. My CP pistons had the part number stamped into them on the dome, and nothing else. I could have done it with a set of number and letter stamps.

Pistom mfg's went to that format as the old style of using a machinist number punch was to easy to replicate. If you had a cheatin' heart that is...

Thanks Jeff, If NHRA is happy with the NHRA logo etched in the piston top instead of a stamped number, then I'm a happy camper.

There was some problems with the stamping on all the pistons and maybe still is. I think NHRA is aware of the problem. Some of the numbers in the specs were job numbers and not part numbers, and Diamond uses a different system for the .030 and .060 etc.
