(enjoying the Thursday PA audio broadcast very much!)
I actually won H/SA class last year at Indy and ended up like 150th qualifier. Also, when I was on the scales after class I was picked for tear down but they ended up telling us we did not have to tear down after they realized I was not qualified.

I just have to ask...........................did you at least get enough decal $ for the class win to cover the inflated entry for the race??

I remember years ago the "TRADITIONAL" classy racers crying about crate motors in IHRA. They would'nt go to IHRA division 9 because the top 15 would be Crate Motors.
Same Game Different Names.

Chip,IHRA did the same thing NHRA did with the new cars. They allowed combinations in that were grossly underfactored, hosing those who had years and a lot of money developing their combos.Granted,IHRA needed these cars to survive.
It seems like NHRA had other motives allowing these cars in at the factors they assigned to them. And now, after three time shots, the top 20 being comprimised of 17 new cars you see the results.
So what's the point?

At least IHRA fixed the problem and didnt rely on a racer controlled screwed up system like the so called AHFS. NHRA wont even TRY to correct the HP factor problem. To much $$$$$ involved.
