I don't have a photo, but I have this Plattinum Products mount set. One piece to hold the weather sensor unit inside the trailer during transport, and a tube to securely support the bottom of the pole outside the trailer:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Plattinum-W...sid=m570.l1313 At the top trim of the trailer, above the support tube, I use one of these to secure the top of the pole: http://www.biondoracing.com/product/ALB-QC2-2.html

I found a photo that isn't very detailed but should at least illustrate what I posted above:

Thanks for the replies.
Pete, I have 4 of those clamps enroute. I believe they are also the same ones that Altronics sells. I also have these brackets coming that Computech uses and I'm using the same pole... That Platinum Products bracket is trick for transporting the weather station head inside the trailer... ![]() Also found this pole mount which would work too... https://www.shop.flagpolebuddy.com/S...Dia-106961.htm available in 1", 1.5" and 2" Last edited by 1320racer; 08-14-2018 at 08:42 AM. |

I use the rubber ones from Altronics. 2 on the exterior and 2 inside for storage. Easy to use and won’t rust. I store my trailer inside. If you store yours outside in the elements then the rubber ones might break down after a few seasons.

I have to say this thread has made me get off my butt and finally make a mounting pole for my wind meter. Now mine is just a $50 weather station from TSC cause I’m a poor boy but, as long as it gives me wind speed I’m happy.

I ended up using the brackets that Computech uses/sells, shown in the video below.
Thanks again for the replies. |
