Default new enclosed trailer [maybe aluminum] feedback

Within the next year, I will be in the market for a new trailer. I am looking closely at the design with a lift-up side panel. In addition, I am looking at a "V" nose design with a door on the V.

My new tow truck is a 2019 Ram 1500 5.7 with a towing package so lightweight is important. I am considering a 20 or 22 foot. I do not need nor want a big, long, heavy trailer. Enough room for my 1982 Camaro and a very few basic supplies.

If you have something as I described, please tell me about it and where you bought it.

Thanks

I have a 28 foot ATC and hooked it to my Ram 1500 move it it around my yard. It was all bad.you need a 2500 at least to pull enclosed trailer safely.

The 2 examples are about as lightweight as your going to get in an affordable Aluminum Trailer. Both are bare bones trailers located in New England.

I tow/towed a 24 Discovery with a 2011 Ram regular cab, short box. The truck towed the trailer easily for 8 hours with no problem. I carried a 3,100 pound car and full tool box in the trailer. I had all other support equipment in the truck bed.
Gas mileage was not the greatest, but I was doing 70+ MPH on the Interstate.
The Ram towed nicer than my current 24 foot Class C.

Just for resale value I would not get less than 24ft. It will not add that much to either the cost or the weight.

I have an all aluminum American Hauler, 24 foot. I tow with a 2019 Ram 1500 with the towing package. I've towed all over the midwest and south and it does fine (towed with a 2012 Ram 1500 before this). This trailer is 3264# curb weight empty and a 9990 GVRW rating. My current car weighs ~3300#. I hauled a '60 full size Plymouth before this (~3700#), plus tool chest, generator, etc.

The biggest problem I've had is the junk trailer tires. two years max if you're lucky. I'm in the process now of changing the 15" rims to 16" so I can run a LT (light truck) tire with the necessary load capacity.

I have a NH Trailers 20' plus a V. Trailer tows great, and has plenty of room for my challenger, scooter, generator, tool box, spare tranny plus more. There isn't much room left but everything fits nicely. Call Aaron, he is great to deal with, a great family ran company.

I have a good friend that bought a Intech trailer last year. It has the opening panel on the drivers side. It is very well engineered and the workmanship is top notch.
