Default SFI Chassis Specs Are U Serious?

Do they actually charge money for each spec, then you have to pay to get it stickered?? We just need what's required for 25.5B. Even the government doesn't charge money for mil-specs (all free downloads except ITAR related equipment).

What a racket.

Yep, they charge for all the specs.
All I have is the memo that shows the new specs.

8.50 and slower does not require SFI specs. 10.00 and slower does not require a sticker. And then there is the outlaw tracks that don't even care if you go faster. The choice is up to the individual. You gotta pay to play!

If you read the text of the image in post #2, the revision consists of a single paragraph which is quoted. No real need to repurchase the whole document, just have that work done if it applies to you.

All the Mil-Specs I'm familiar with have been cancelled and replaced by basically the same document under ASME and now they charge for them. I still use the Mil-Secs on plating callouts because I don't want to have to pay ASME to see if they changed anything.

That's correct and it is the way the industry is heading.
The DOD and the FAA are tasking SAE to develop their specifications.
Although the FAA regulations are available for free online, any reference documents used in the regulations from SAE, RTCA, ISO, etc..., you have to purchase them from the source.
