Tuesday night, Donna and I took our 14.yo granddaughter to Adele. It was absolutely amazing. Been to Beatles, Stones, Reo Speedwagon, Supremes.....plus my all time favorite...Pat Benatar about 30 years ago.
What was your favorite?

Re: favorite concert
Only been to one in my life. Was a concert in Raliegh, NC in1977...Doobie Bro's headlined along with ToTo. Skunk Baxter joined the Doobies for a couple and the music was incredible.

Re: favorite concert
I have been fortunate to go to a lot of good concerts. Recently, Keb' Mo', Leon Russell, Norah Jones and Vince Gill.
However my all time favorite was an Eric Clapton concert five or six years ago. I will probably never get to see him again. Bill |

My first, was in 1975... Led Zeppelin
but the best... ready ? Black Oak Arkansas ! Actually saw them on two occasions. Entertaining, without excessive gimmicks.

Re: favorite concert
I've seen Kansas in concert 3 times now. Even after the changes they still are one of my all time favorites. I've seen The Eagles, Deep Purple, Bob Dylan, CSN&Y, Graham Nash by himself, The Monkeys, Bad Company and many more! Even been to Nashville to see many Country bands. I love live music! Jim

Re: favorite concert
I was growing up in Greenwich Village in NY during the 60's. Could have seen Dylan,The Who and all the rest. Fillmore East was in the East Village, close by and never saw any of them. I was still listening to 50' and 60's (still do) but regret not going to see any of them. I'd love to see Hendrix and Janis Joplin. Did go and see early groups (anyone remember Screaming Jay Hawkins?) at the Brooklyn Fox and Brooklyn Paramount. You could actually take the subway to Brooklyn and get home safely. Not so much today.

Re: favorite concert
Can't say I have a favorite single concert but July 4th, 1970 at Atlanta International Pop Festival started it all. Since then I've seen almost every lineup of The Allman Brothers Band and 29 different shows. Favorite venue was The Warehouse on 1820 Tchoupitoulas Street and was almost a weekly trip there from 1970-1982. This is a poster from first concert at The Warehouse. My first concert there was August 22,1970 featuring the Allman Brothers and The Ides of March.
My most memorable concert was the The Allman Brothers Band Sept. 3,199 as it was the last concert my son and I went to before his death. Althoug it was probably the worst show the Allman Brothers played. Dickey's guitar work was so sloppy and the band just was not into it that night.

Re: favorite concert
Our generation had some of the best musical talent ever, there really is nothing to compare. In college I had that the opportunity to see Cream, Jethro Tull and Iron Butterfly. Then I had a 24 year gap and did not attend any concerts. Since then I have seen Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Winwood, Clapton in Las Vegas and the Eagles, Gypsy Kings and Clapton again in Santigo, Chile. Recently I had the opportunity to see James Taylor in Tahoe.
