How/When Does NHRA decide to increase Quota?
I have been checking to see if any spots open Up for the Maple Grove National event in October? But 65 in superstock seems low! The May points meet at the Grove always gets more than that. I dont think space is problem there! Any thoughts

If they run S/Gas or S/Comp & that doesn't fill up than they might up the quota on
Stock & SS. Email Kent Hanley he can help you with that question too.

Ahhh, just looked at those 2 categories and S/C is over full.
S/G has 6 spots to fill, so unlikely they will up SS. Don't forget the Pro's take up tons of room there.

I been looking every day to. It doesn't seem fair 90 Stockers, and only 65 Super Stockers. In Division 1 .
Sure would be nice if the added 15 or 20 more spots. Would be our 1st National event. Cal SS/HA 1177 |

Re: How/When Does NHRA decide to increase Quota?
There are many things involved in the quota numbers,
available time(they know how many cars can run in the scheduled available event time) available pit space how many categories are being run (everything at Reading except Top) They tend to set a higher quota if there is class in Stk or SS (class for stock at Reading) Popularity of the class I really doubt Reading will change, it is a real popular event at a nice facility at a nice time of year, in an area with lots of race cars, and in order to get into some events as popular as Reading, you really need more grade points so you can get in earlier. Add to that the Dutch is the week after, and it is more like a vacation destination for many

Aris
You can always post on here if anybody is going to "Withdraw" at the last minute & take their spot. Sometimes that happens. Good Luck

Re: How/When Does NHRA decide to increase Quota?
I, too, feel 65 is awful low for a quota for S/S at a D-1 race(1996 Keystones there were 126 that showed up in S/S). Unfortunately, I do not see them raising the quota for S/S, since the entire event is mostly full, top to bottom.
The Dutch was always more fun for me anyways. Also hope to see many of you in Hagerstown Maryland at the Mason-Dixon S/SS Fall Classic races November 1-2.
