Default Copper head gaskets?

Hey everyone!

Starting to piece together my combo. I’m going with the 1970 351c 300hp stocker combo for my 70 mustang. Are copper head gaskets allowed? I know the rule book says no o-ringing allowed to the cylinder heads but says nothing about the block. My reasoning for this is they only offer a .021 thick head gasket in copper form for my motor.

You can, but don't, they can leak.
You're calculated piston to head clearance needs to be .033" or more.
Cosmetic makes gaskets at .027", actually measure ~.030" compressed.
I'd use that gasket and leave the piston .008" down.
