Default Onan Quiet Diesel questions

Anyone out there have any expertise on the Onan quiet diesel Gen sets with the 3 cyl Kubota D722 engine?

Ours is having a cold start issue. sometimes it needs extended cranking, Runs rough for 10 seconds or so before it straightens out. Huff's a bit of white smoke on start up. If I didn't know better I'd say it was flooded a bit. Once it straightens out ir runs fine for hours, makes power etc.

I've had the injectors rebuilt, it has all new filters and lift pump, New glow plugs etc.

Any one have some insight?

Mine will act that way when the fuel filter needs changed. I change my fuel filter about every 250 hrs and oil at 100 hrs. Have you changed the air filter? Mine get dirty pretty fast as my unit is mounted in the belly box on my toter when you are parked on the dirt there is quite a bit of dust generated by the cooling fan.

It has gotten a complete service. Fuel ,Oil and Air filters, new lift pump, new thermostat, Injectors rebuilt.

The filter is cheap enough it might be worth changing again.
