Re: 96 LT1 valve spring pressure
It’s been a while since I had one but I think I had no more than 140lbs on the seat on the LT-1 I built. Probably less but I can’t recall. Single stock diameter spring with a dampener. Replaced springs after some time after finding brown dampners one day on some springs. Springs choices today are probably better. I am not even up on what’s legal in Stock as far as spring size.

I may have used those myself. That was 10 years ago. Can't really recall...

Re: 96 LT1 valve spring pressure
Any valve spring, as long as head isn't modified.

Re: 96 LT1 valve spring pressure
The heads I have (96 LT1) I bought used. They had the Howard's Springs on them when I bought them. I have the PAC 1409X on it now. They are probably better but I can't say for sure one way or another. I have something wrong somewhere in the car and can't figure it out. Wish I could be more help.
I'm at 180 on the seat. Last edited by Rob Petrie E395; 11-20-2017 at 05:38 PM. |
