Re: Accusump - pros & cons
Not really sure what "FGACTS" are, but the truth is, that for a guy that doesn`t, and likely never has or ever will race a Stock or S/S car, you certainly seem to like spouting off about subjects that have no bearing on the type of throttle stop racing that you seem to like. You are most likely unaware, since you don`t race in Stock, but Stockers are generally not allowed to run the big, aftermarket oil pans, so under braking, or low oil level situations, the oil can run away from the oil pump pickup. So an accumulator is a very reasonable option. Yes, we all know that years ago, you used to have the Worlds baddest Chevelle of all time, and that you are a true hero racer, but I have to wonder if you are really such a self absorbed A hole in real life, or just at the keyboard? There is a .90 Super category on this site that may appreciate your vast wisdom more so that the group of old guy, stuck in their way, Class Racers. Just a thought.

Re: Accusump - pros & cons
When did the use of the band aid known as an accusump become exclusive to stock and super stock?
That said, Clearly my impressive, awe inspiring Chevelle left a lasting impression on you being that you mention it here yet I sold it 15 years ago. But since you mentioned it, it too never had an accusump! Oh and you better hope I don’t put my son in a stocker, there will be more hurt feelings if I do! Hey Ed many of us who were there saw you break plenty of engines during your learning curves. Put your son in a stocker we need more young racers with the passion!

Re: Accusump - pros & cons
Frank, not my learning curve, my race engines are built by Professionals, the best in the industry. That said, even the best built engines, loaded with the best parts can and do have failures. Meanwhile, I put hundreds of passes on my engines a season unlike typical stock/super stock engines that don't see 100 passes.
My son has no interest in stock eliminator at this time, if he did I would have ordered a COPO long ago. Last edited by 1320racer; 01-08-2024 at 11:53 AM. |
