My question is what manufacture provides the best 16 Volt battery? Not just price but quality, longevity? Seems that I'm lucky to get 2 years max and I've tried Turbostart, XS Power. Noticed Fig Speed is selling a new brand Lifeline 16 volt.....any good?

All I can say is my experience, I'm currently going on 5 years with my xs power 16v batteries and they have still been perfect, actually considering getting replacements this offseason just due to age so they don't give me a headache while I'm at a race, I've never had batteries in anything last much longer than these have.

I have always recommended Lifeline racing batteries. Their racing batteries are built under the same specifications as their FAA-approved aircraft batteries and they also supply batteries for military ground vehicles. https://lifelinebatteries.com/racing-batteries-2/ |

I am bias as we are sponsored by Braille Battery, but you won't find a better 16v Lithium battery.
I haven't killed one yet and our cars stay in the trailer all summer and all winter (scorching hot to freezing cold) batteries in, main disconnect off. Been years now and I haven't replaced one yet and I'm pretty good at neglect. They aren't cheap, but they are super light, charge in 15 mins at most, or in a stocker, with alternator, do nothing and don't worry about them. Quality and longevity, and those don't come cheap. Google their website and under 16v lithium you should see a battery and charger combo listed for drag racing. Any questions, just message, email, or call. Matt |

4 seasons, racing every weekend from April to October, with XS Power's D1600 cranking a 1000+HP BBC and still no issue

Well something has changed in quality, I have two cars and each has 2 batteries, so my backup car gets the hand me downs from my number 1 car. The old as the hills (probably 10 years old) 16V Turbo Starts that got relegated to the number 2 car are still working just fine, the new Turbo Starts that I have purchased in the last couple of years seem to not last more than 1 - 2 seasons. Something obviously has changed in their quality. I have since switched over to XS batteries but don't have enough run time to say good or bad at this point. I used to be an advocate for the whole 16 volt deal but considering the price, I'm think about just switching back to 12V and just replacing them on a yearly basis.

10 or more years ago I had a pair of Turbo Start 16V in my Hemi car, never had an issue. After 6-7 seasons I sold them to a bracket racer (still probably using them) and bought a new pair of Turbo Starts - they were junk after 2 seasons. Looking for something else.
