I'll be there tomorrow, Fri and Sat. Were there any issues with them opening the spectator gates on-time today? Last year and the year before it was supposed to open at 7:30am on Thurs, Fri and Sat - but that seemed to slip a little further and further behind...Want to make sure I'm in a seat by 8:00am to watch Stock tomorrow!

Although I do agree with the majority of the comments on this thread, I think you guys are all wound up for nothing on this issue, simply scroll to the bottom of the page and click the box which says: View Complete Racer Schedule.

Could the average paying customer know that if they attended on Wednesday or Thursday they could see Stock & Super Stock Qualifying, along with Heads-Up Stock Class racing?????????????

If they wanted to watch Heads-Up Super Stock Class racing how would they know it was on Friday?????????????

Just sayin',
Bob

I'm sure they could watch on those days if they wanted to, but most fans leave the stands after the nitro cars are done. Why would they want to come to the track on a day when the nitro cars aren't running???

Sportsman racing is a participant sport, not a fan sport. If you participate in it, you probably enjoy watching it, if not you probably just want to see and hear the nitro cars.

You think after going to Indy for 20 years or more the fans don't know sportsman runs on Wednesday and Thursday?

Amazing some 164 Racers came to qualify.
128 made it and the bump was -.726 Under the NHRA Index.

Surprised some racers like Record Holder Briane Philbrick and old(ish) hands Vic Guilmino and Jeff Warren who are always in the thick of it did not qualify.

NHRA must be doing something right that so many cars came to quality.
Yet so many complaints about NHRA.

Old hand Paul Mecure took Pole Position with a fantastic warm weather run of -1.523 under index run.
Followed by V/SA Jim Parsons (-1.435), U/SA Gary Summers (-1.317) and U/SA Brian Seaburg (- 1.281).
Amazing effort by lower class Stockers making it in the top five against the PLETHRA (from Three Amigos) of FS cars.

I would have thought the bump would have been .850 or higher.
