Re: Pacific Raceways "No longer for sale"
Good. I never really thought they would sell it. At least not for a non racing venture as some on this forum indicated.
Last Saturday I noticed a small sign on the ticket booth reading "Neighbors are no longer free". I guess if you build next to a drag strip you just have to live without the perks. I'm looking foreword to burning rubber here for many years to come. Very interested in seeing the improvements they have in mind. Dale

Re: Pacific Raceways "No longer for sale"
This is great news. Although SIR/Pacific Raceway is nowhere near as spacious as say Sonoma or Las Vegas,I am not aware of any other tracks in Div 6 that is large enough to hold a NHRA national event. Its bad enough that Div. 6 is the only division with just 1 Nat`l event, the thought of losing that would be tough to face. Although not my home track, I have raced at SIR/Pacific since 1977, and although for a while the track had gone downhill, with some surly, indifferent track workers, things have certainly gotten better in recent years. Hope the track thrives for many years to come.
