Yes, indeed - - RIP Leslie Gore. Truly one of the stars of that era. MANY of the songs from those years made you want to dance, be goofy or just plain have fun. I am truly lucky to have been a part of those times. I am 65 years young and still having fun - never grow up!!!

Sock Hops! Had to explain that now very lame term to my kids.

So "Now it's Judy's turn to cry".

When you knew what the singer was singin' about.

Unhappy Re: RIP Leslie Gore

RIP

I have "LOCOMOTION" on my car because I liked the original song by Little Eva as well as the remake by Grand Funk railroad. I always thought it would be cool to look her up for an autograph & photo op, but figured it would be too difficult and/or awkward. After racing in Kinston, NC a few times, I was planning to attend another IHRA divisional there in 2003. A few months before the race, I heard that Little Eva had passed away.....in Kinston, NC!

I was fortunate enough to meet and have this photo taken with Leslie after her performance near my Winter home in Palm Springs, CA in February of 2013.

RIP Leslie- you were a great lady and a great performer!
