That is the nature of 501c's. More,More,More. So they can spend it all !!. The best way to spend it is on their own board and administrators. Haven't you seen the list going around of what part of the Dollar you give gets to the needy. Most of those are top heavy with large salaries. That is just like a racing organization we know a little about.

Sounds like someone advocating cutting the payouts and just give trophies. Wally would be so proud..

now Adger, that is a pretty broad brush. I have served with and continue to serve for some local charities that are staffed mainly with volunteers including the board members. I agree there are some out there that serve themselves more than the community. do the research before donating. Always look at the overhead costs when considering a contibution. the real issue is that NHRA has grown into a business that is way too top heavy and only is able to stay afloat because of the breaks they get as a non-profit. i wish they would flush the upper management and start over. the only problem is that they would probably call themselves a church, take more tax breaks and give compton another raise!

I just had to chime in here. My hat is off to the ATI crew for pulling out of NHRA.I got sick of NHRA'S greed a long time ago.I hope this is a new trend to cut NHRA out of the loop and have the manufacturers pay the winners
runner up ,class, etc.on their own. Also I feel it is the right thing to do to
run a manufacturers decal if he is paying me prize money.(remember they don't have to ) Shop-Rite isn't paying me class money just because I buy groceries there.I have and always will promote the people who help me
and pay me.As one racer stated on this thread , fans do come up and ask what and why you are using a certain product, engine , converter, etc.One last thing , I hope the stock-super stock races get bigger and stronger
run buy the racers -for the racers. Maybe the manufacturers will stop and take notice. As soon as i can afford it again that's where you will find my
big black Chevy wagon. Al jr.

The 2015 contingency are up and Strange Axles are on the list right now, but like most it might not be right. Also Sunoco the official fuel of NHRA is not on the list. Total payout if you have all products are TF and FC 7000 for win 2100for RU. Super Stock is 20,585 for the win with all products [we know this not possible] and 8065. for the RU. Stock is 17935. 7765. for the RU. Tom

Unfortunately if companies keep going around the system, Nhra will outlaw non contigency stickers, that will be a real slippery slope for everyone. Easy for NHRA to enforce, tech will make you fill out sponsor list and if caught running, not pay any winnings or contigencies.
Will make many racers furious, but look how NFL enforces rules.

Actually may be the best thing for NHRA management, drive all the sportsman racers away and just have the PRO's to deal with.

Problem, Where will all sportsman racers race?.
