Default "Second Best" 15" Trailer Tires

I'm pretty sure Maxxis Tires are the best in 15".

What Would Be The 2nd Best ???
Carlisle, Goodyear, Firestone ??

How do you know what is made in the U.S.A. ??

I have a 20' Enclosed with a 3100lb car.

Thanks

I went through this 2 months ago. Maxxis tires could not be found by my tire dealer. Goodyear told him that although now made in China, their Marathons are made to the same specs as when made in USA. I tried a set for my 4400 mile trip at the speed limit, 65 to 75 mph, all day driving, across the country. No problems with them.

I get a solid 4-4.5 years out of Towmaster D range standard trailer tires.
A PLUS is that they dont shred and rip up the trailer when they quit. They have only gone flat.

If anybody is getting even fairly good service out of load range D trailer tires they must not carry much weight or they drive slow. I went thru a ton of load range D tires before E's became readily accessible. Maxxis does seem to be the best and I have not had any trouble finding them. Load range E 225/75-15 has more load rating than the same height 16 tire.

I just took my first trip with these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Trailer King ST Radial Trailer Tire - 225/75R15 117L Load Range E 10 Ply Rating

Probably 1,700 miles round trip, 3,400# car in 24ft trailer with Drag Week supplies.

We drove a close to 75 mph most of the trip and did not have a bit of trouble.

Last year we looked like a Nascar pit crew changing so many trailer tires just going to St. Louis from Tulsa.

I think you would be better with an "E" range light truck than going the trailer tire route. Just check the load rating before you purchase them.
I used to carry 3 spares when I was fighting all of that 15" stuff. I did not see anyone add 95+ degress in August to that 75 mph insane road speed. I'm telling you as a racer friend-----15" tires at 75 is only a death wish. You have been very fortunate.
Go get a home equity loan and get the 16" wheels and E range tires----road speed heat buildup is what kills tires and you and maybe someone else.
I finally listened when I did the 15" thing----I remember a Denman tire was very good-----then I lost one until the spares were gone.... then I bought a tire at every exit on I-95 even car tires if they had one. Please get the 16's and rest for the race.
