Default Ring Height L/T 8" Anyone know the dimension?

Anyone know the dimension of the ring height (the "zero" number) for the L&T or DZE 8" clutch unit from the mid nineties. If you have documentation even better.

Perhaps someone may have a contact for this needed info.

thanks in advance

Mr. Neal -

I do not know if I am answering your question or not but when we had the 8" Hays single disc clutch in our E/SM comp car, we installed the ring height at .795. This was "zero" when installed. I am sure somewhere I have a piece of paper from Hays but do not know where it is at in our shop.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Mr. Compton, that is what I am asking but for the L/T vs. the Hays. I also have a Hays and I do have that dimension. I do have my paperwork on the Hays piece. I'm not sure if L&T was bought out by, but DZE also comes up with some people I know. The hays hat is machined different than L/T. My hat is flat on the top.

thanks for your response.

I have L&T 8" from '90s. Ring Height from the top of the aluminum cover to the top of the aluminum pressure plate is .846 and working range is .075 up or down from that number.
