Unhappy Jerry Heath will live on in the hearts of many

Jerry Heath is my father-in-law. Jerry is my husband Nick's father and his best friend. A lot of you know him as a NHRA Stock Eliminator National Record Holder and a friend to countless racers across the United States.

Donations would be loved to help pay the medical costs and funeral, but even a few positive thoughts would make a huge difference for us.

Jerry passed away peacefully this morning and we are comforted by the fact he is no longer in pain.

My heart just aches with the passing of Jerry!
We had become close friends and enjoyed our conversations.
My condolences and prayers to the Heath family!
Godspeed Jerry!

R.I.P. Jerry. May all the good memories comfort you in your time of sorrow.

My prayer is that you let God bring peace to you all during this difficult time.

I met Jerry about 35 years ago when we both worked at the old 10,000 Auto Parts store. He was an enthusiastic car and avid drag race guy and we became good friends. Later on he built his Mustang stocker (302/stick car) and had great success and fun. Always at his side was his son, Nick who was a walking computer, who from a very young age, could recall everyones ET and MPH from every race across the US! We all shared some great times and memories from races past and present. Unfortunately, he was taken from us at way to young of age and he was not able to finish his new Mustang stocker. RIP Gerald, you will be missed! Dyno

I am really sorry to hear this news. Jerry and I shared a lot of ideas about our Mustangs. My condolences to his family. He will surely be missed by everyone who knew him.
