8' with a sprag JW
yes it went to 3000 then 5500 all 3 times I tried
I have not run the car
6400 from JW

6400 sounds high for a 406 bracket motor,,or what are you trying to run with the car?

What was the old converter acting like right before you took it out?

What does JW say about this?

JW Built the old converter about 5 years ago for a 355 stalled @5900 with the new 406 6400. I believe its driving though the converter now...but will print et slips!!! Called them and wanted to make the car more efficient without affecting the consistency.

Just put in in last night so i have not had a chance to speak with JW.

What would recomend for the combo?

Ck carb, either too rich and taking time to burn up the fuel or too lean and a lag before it gets enough.
