Default Race #3 June 15th @ National Trail Info

Well racers, this weekend, June 15th, at National Trail Raceway near Columbus (Hebron), Ohio, we will run the third scheduled event of the 2019 Drag Racing Season. Gates Saturday will open at 8:00 am and time trials will start at 9:00 am. Please get there early. The weather for Saturday at this point looks decent with a chance of showers late in the afternoon going into the evening. There is a chance that we will only get one qualifier if things look as they do now. Track management says if they do the one TT we will likely get our program run to completion.
Racers can go to the track Friday and pay your entry fee of $125 ($100 entry to Buckeye S/SS and $25 to National Trail) if you get there after 7:00 pm. If you get there before 7:00pm you will pay a $10 spectator fee per person for whomever is with you. You can stay the night at the track.
Sunday June 16th,we will run the rained out April 27th race. The fields are set on a ladder already so no additional entries will be accepted. Racers are already paid for this race so no additional fees need to be paid. Only one time trial on Sunday.
Saturday we will run our regular program with the Dial for Dollars sponsored by Mid Ohio Paving, Best First Round Losing Package sponsored by Parsons & Myers Racing Engines, and the Buckeye Bounty program provided by KB Trailer Sales. Winner will get $1000, the Iron Man Trophy, a Jeg's $50 certificate and a Jeg's Tire Cover. Runner up will get $300 , A runner up plaque and a $25 Jeg's gift certificate. Round money of $50 per round will be paid starting with the 3rd round. The #1 qualifier will receive a VP Fuel $50 gift certificate. We qualify based on reaction time.
Sunday will be the same with the exception of the VP Fuel Certificate. That was awarded to the #1 qualifier, Mike Ross, on the original race date.
The KB Trailers Buckeye Bounty for Saturday will be on Quaker City winner Danny Smith. Beat Danny for the $100. If Danny is not defeated the money will then go to him.
An exciting weekend of racing is on tap with the Buckeye S/SS racers,Super Class racers, Funny Cars and Brackets. Also go to the National Trail Raceway website for more information. You can call me, Jeff Ross, for info as well at my cell 740-359-5877.
See you there!!!
