Default Trans brake people enter here

I'm racking my brain trying to remember how I ran the wires on my old car. IIRC i used a bulkhead style electrical connector that passed through a hole i drilled in my trans pan. I'm pretty certain I got it from PA since i was using their VB. I looked on their website but don't see any connectors listed. They are closed on the weekend so i can't get ahold of them. What are you guys using the wire up your solenoids?

Thanks, Mitch.

I drilled a small hole in the top of the tailhousing. Then ran the wire up through the trans, through a port in the rear support, into the tailhousing, and then up and out through the hole, using small rubber tubing as a grommet. Have not had any problems with any leakage at all. mainly because right at the top of the tailhousing, you'd never get any fluid anyway other than some splash.

OK thanks. I'll look into that option with mine.

I am going to assume that this may be a internal sol. Ford C-4. I use a cast aluminum pan with a Chrysler 904 pass through connector. Transtar transmission parts sells them, the single wire is part # 12444A, the two wire part # is 12444B. this connector has a 1/4" NPT thread and is leak free. One more option on a internal sol. Ford C-4 assuming you do not need a speedo, is use a Turbo 400 pass through connector Transtar part # 34444B. It fits well into the speedo hole in the extension housing and just run your wire through the back of the case near the park mechanism access hole. Also leak free. Louis Jeffery

Thanks Lou. It's for an AOD. You have any in stock? I'm Downriver and could grab one from you if you have them.
