Smile What was your daily driver in the mid 1960's

My boss just told me I can't quit so I'm killin a few minutes on the computor. Just curious about what your daily driver was in say 1966. Cool stuff that we all took for granted because bad *** cars were everywhere. I worked for Bendall Pontiac in the 60's as a line mechanic specializing in all the performance stuff, all the old guys hated them and I had em stacked up like cordwood. Motors, transmissions, rear ends and theft jobs. Every Monday I would get a fresh batch with shoe polish on the windows. ------------My daily driver was a 66 442 W30 black post sedan rubber floor mat (widowmaker) My wife----Red on black 64 Catalina 2+2 421 tripower 4speed. My Mom--- 66 Bonneville 4 dr. 421 tripower auto loaded. My Pop ----37 Packard Conv. with rumble seat 322 buick V8 two AFB's Packard box and 4.30 rear. Ok all you old farts , stick a beach boys tape in hit the reverb switch and jog that memory. I'm fixin another Vodka and Cranberry juice.

In 1966 I had a black Schwinn one-speed that could out-accelerate my brother's Renault Dauphin.

1961 Falcon, oh yea, I turned that into an L/Stock, a1963 Falcon Sprint, that I ran in J/Stock, a 1966 Falcon, oops G/SA, I think I see a trend emerging. Because of car payments (gave the finance companies fits) I drove first a 54 Buick Special ($75) and a 56 Buick Century Wagon, I sold that to Tony Janes and finally a 1969 Chev 4 x 4 pickup. I guess my priorities were racing, now that I think about it. Fred
