first gear ratio change
434 small block 3300 lb car 411 gears 30inch tall tire 5200 stall. changing from 189 first gear in PG to 180 straight cut gear set any ideas of what et will change?

I believe I'd run more gear, say a 513 or so. What's it turning at the MPH lights?

Not a automatic guy,but I say same to few hundreds quicker,only thing I see that could help would be straight cut planetary may use a little less power than helical gear.
Strength will be biggest gain.IMO Mike Taylor 3601 |
