Thumbs up Re: BIR Opener 36+ Cars!!!!!!

Hello everyone! We had a good time!

A BIG THANK YOU!!! TO ALL WHO SUPPORTED THIS RACE!

With an excellent 36 car field,
in attendance were some of the finest S/SS racers in the country !
Heck!...We even had 2 new drag pack HEMI cars here ripping it up!

First off ...Rain on Sat. Prevented completing
the race on Sat.
We did, however run 1st. Round on Sat.

On Sunday we got 2 rounds in before
More Rain ended the fun for the week-end.
The final racers will split the purse.

Last 5 left in were:
Lance Line B/SA, Brett Speer B/SA
Kevin Howgard E/SA, Tracy Fairchild M/SA,
Glen DeMenge E/SA

Overall I thought things went very good!
We can’t control the weather.

The Race sponsor Eric Kitzan was here in person to hand out his decals
you NEED TO run to get the extra prize money he has kicked in form his
one man trucking company, Kitzan Transport LLC. In Center, ND.
Thank You Very Much, Eric!!

Some had a bit of misfortune...
Broken cars parts etc.

( but... then again it's better to have it happen at this small race than driving a bunch of miles to KS. OR at the Div. 5 meet

NOW THEN...:{

We had a small Issue with the ladder sheet.
I am sorry this slipped by without being addressed.
I will be working with the staff at BIR to prevent this
from happening again!
I am sorry for the trouble this may have caused to any of you.

I’ll post some PICs. SOON!

I can't begin, to thank you all enough for your kind words, encouragement, and support!!!
THANK YOU ALL!!

Lets keep this deal going!!!

Glen DeMenge

What a FANTASTIC show of cars!!! Even though I kept my SS car at home and ran the Bracket program with my Chevelle, it was a BLAST to watch S/SS like I remembered the 'good ol days' back in the early 90s at BIR!

Way to go everyone!

And the track was GOOD all weekend for me as well with my Chevelle. Very impressive 1st outing BIR! Keep it up

Your Very welcome Glen, but I should thank you for spearheading this deal. Iam very glad that I came to the race even though my car is not done yet. I got to see some people that I havent seen in about 10 years, and I got to meet a lot of new people also, it was a blast.

A lot of people on this site complain about this that and the other thing just to have an excuse not to race. I just dont understand it I guess, being at the race for me was very motivating and I guess you could say good therepy. And if you dont want to spend a lot of money going to national events this and other events like this are the ticket.

And if you do have a complaint tell someone who can maybe fix instead of park the car and sit a home. But if you do want to sit at home hell I'll drive it. LOL

Here are some pics I took. I have some videos I would like to post but I dont know how to get them from my phone to my laptop. I couldnt carry Tobys camera bag.

Glen & Eric,

Thanks for your help & support!

Event went smoother than we could have hoped. Minor issues at gate, but no security presence harassing racers. Much appreciated.

Minor issue with ladder. Not track's responsibility. Up to each racer to do the right thing. We need to self police to make it work.

Looking forward to the June race. Had a blast watching everyone race.
